Written and Performed by: Jack Finnegan
Directed by: Tralen Doler
In 2009, Jack Finnegan sold his belongings, left his job and apartment, packed two bags and boarded a train. For the next 13 weeks he traveled the country by rail, making stops in 24 cities to tell a story about New York City, where he has lived since 1996. In 2010, Finnegan wrote a new story based on those 13 weeks of railroad tracks and city sidewalks. This ode to America was delivered to an international audience at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, 2010. Now, Jack Finnegan will present both stories together for the first time, before embarking on a international tour across six continents.
City Love Song is a traveler's tale of America - a spoken portrait of our country, constructed from the character of 24 American cities.
