A deeply moving, often funny true story of a mother's fight for her intelligent, disabled son, Nihal, to be accepted and valued by society, Don't Wake Me comes to New York after mesmerizing performances in Edinburgh and throughout the UK.

Performed with grace and eloquence by Jaye Griffiths - this play offers insight into the practical problems faced by Nihal after he is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Don't Wake Me is the inspiring true story of acclaimed British journalist Rahila Gupta's much-loved son.

The Nihal Armstrong Trust

The Nihal Armstrong Trust is a small UK charity set up by a group of trustees including Rahila Gupta in memory of her son Nihal.  They provide children with essential pieces of equipment, communication aids and specific services that their local authority and other agencies do not provide. The Trust is keen to make life easier for families affected by cerebral palsy.
