By Brooke
Following sold-out EdFringe runs/world tour, rising comedic talent Brooke’s infectious energy crafts a celebration of indomitable human spirit.
Wry humor. Poetic firepower. Nonfiction narrative comedy. Award-winning storytelling. Razor-sharp wit. Vulnerable performance strikes unforgettable cord.
Circumstances unique, story universal. A quest to determine one’s place in the circle of life
A multi-arc/act coming-of-age story dissects identities. Inherited. Outgrown. And of course, belly buttons.

Brooke (Playwright/Performer) is a writer, performer, producer; an award-winning storyteller (Moth StorySLAM champion), monologist, essayist; a comedian and performance artist; and forever for real pretend running for president (www.brookeforpresident.com). Following sold-out shows and audience acclaim on the first leg of her world tour (Australia/New Zealand), she’ll make her anticipated return to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with two hours to debut August 2025. Her previous three hours (comedy, theater) earned sold-out runs, audience and critical acclaim (4 stars from The Skinny, TheatreWeekly, and LondonTheatre1). Brooke’s preparing to stage shows for world premiere, publish written versions/new works, develop all for multi-person stage and screen/streaming formats, while actively developing an ever-growing IP slate (stage, screen, literary, and intermittently, a ridiculous musical). US tour and 2nd part of world tour forthcoming. When not professionally ridiculous, she’s seriously professional, leveraging fancy pieces of paper and her trademark high energy, wit, and grit as an executive coach, keynote speaker, author, and business advisor on all things thought leadership and transformation. 36 Expressions (Producer) 36 Expressions (Producer) creates, produces, directs for screen, stage, and page to elevate/expand empathy and consciousness, sharing true stories of underrepresented experiences. To bring light/conversation to adversity/adverse situations. Grounded in the belief laughter’s the ultimate resilience. Our work primarily explores identity. In particular, hidden identities/power asymmetries. How identity’s formed/changed over time. Who you were/have become/want to be/meant to be. How you feel/how you’re perceived. To lose yourself/to be found. How external/internal worlds clash, co-create, define each other. How identity’s influenced by relationships. With ourselves. External systems (societal norms/infrastructures: family, medical, legal). Internal states (resilience, shame, fear, anger). Nature (universe, time). Through exploring the unique, extrapolating the universal. Truth. How the individual’s reflected in the collective, where diversity/division clash and reconcile. Versus. In Verses. Creative nonfiction synthesizes personal life experience into projects that entertain/educate, elicit reflection, facilitate conversation, build community. We write long/short form literary narratives, create live shows/multimedia content, host/facilitate conversations, merge performance art/theater/stand-up/experiential. Observational humor, comedic storytelling blends narrative styles (Moth storytelling/comedy/spoken word/theater monologues) and genre (theater/comedy/musical). Perspective weaves the head, heart, mines truth while finding the funny. Tone’s quick-witted - punchy/poetic, overstuffed with wordplay, multi-layered metaphor. Fast-paced delivery weaves multiple threads, rampant with cultural references/callbacks. It’ll make you laugh, think. Might hurt for just a moment. The best things often do.
