Desperate to break a pattern of underachievement, Morgan leaves his girlfriend in America for a job teaching English in a far away country. Instead, he finds himself translating an obscure medical textbook written in a language he doesn't understand for a doctor who doesn't believe in sleep. 

Working day and night, Morgan discovers the exhilarating, frightening and strangely hilarious truth of what it takes to feel productive in a 24-hour world. But will Morgan's desperate quest for productivity destroy his relationship - or perhaps even kill him?
