These two comedies by Michal Walczak created a sensation when first stages in Silesia. Each is underlaid with an updated version of that particular brand of cynicism and absurdism peculiar to Eastern European theater.

SANDBOX is about a man and a woman's inability to articulate emotions except through the language of movies and computer games.

THE FIRST TIME explores erotic initiation under the absurd circumstances of minute public scrutiny. Both are based primarily as a "ferocious, tragic-comical rough and tumble between the sexes."
