Matt Wilkinson's darkly comic story of a love affair between mixed race city trader, David Li, and Scottish artists and recovering alcoholic, Lorna McRae is slick and blindly up-to-date with its blond-wood and burshed steel set by Soutra Gilmour and techno soundtrack. This is theatre for the adrenaline culture. The Mu-Lan Theatre Company was set up in London in 1988 to shatter Asian stereotypes and this top notch production has united London critics in their praise.
